I’m a comedy writer with a focus on pop-culture and social parody. I’ve written screenplays, stage plays, spec scripts, pilots, sketches, essays, and even a musical. Check out my resume here:
My jokes have aired on MTV and my live sketch shows have played in New York at the Upright Citizen’s Brigade Theatre (UCB), The Access Theater, The EndTimes Underground, The Interborough Repertory Theater, and The Ace of Clubs.
In 2009, my show, “TMZ TV: Too Many Zombies” was featured in the Montreal Sketch Comedy Festival and my sketch “Club Face,” was a finalist in the “Shortlived” Playwriting competition from San Francisco-based PianoFight Productions, earning me a glowing review. Read the script here:

In 2010, my show “Stephen King High School: the Musical” played at the UCB theatre, enjoyed a monthly residency at The Ace of Clubs, participated in The Bococa Arts Festival, and traveled to LA as a featured act in The Los Angeles Comedy Festival. A review claimed that “the wit of the writing was on the same level as that of the Urinetown folks.”
Online, my work has been published in McSweeney’s Internet Tendency:
As well as Yankee Pot Roast:
I had a brief gig as a reviewer of unreviewable things for Tire Swing Press:
Jamie King Reviews Turns of Phase: Inspirational Sayings
I manage and write for a B-Movie review blog called Coprocinephilia.
My movie reviews have been published on other sites, like creepedoutflixxx.com:
I’ve had lists published by tophattapdance.com:
New Phobias, Reality Horror Shows, Post-Grad Doctor Seuss Books
Lastly, I write comedy shows and blogs under the name OMFG, (the Organization for Men Frustrated by other Genders) which is both a sketch group and political movement dedicated to preventing discrimination against middle-class white males. Content to this effect can be found at omfg.kingjamie.net.
